Add Band Manager to Your Home Screen
Get a one-tap app icon on your phone, with no address bar and no logging in every time.
Band Manager works like a normal website, but your phone can treat it like an installed app. Add it to your home screen once and you get an icon that opens straight into the diary — full screen, no browser toolbar — and, if you tick "Keep me signed in" when you log in, you won't have to log in again for 30 days.
iPhone & iPad (Safari)
This only works from Safari — Chrome, Firefox and other iOS browsers can't add a home screen icon, even though they can visit the site normally.
- Open bandmanager.cloud in Safari and log in.
- Tick "Keep me signed in on this device for 30 days" before you log in, so the icon opens straight into the diary from now on.
- Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, in the toolbar.
- Scroll down the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen."
- Check the name (it'll suggest "Band Manager") and tap "Add" in the top-right corner.
A Band Manager icon now sits on your home screen alongside your other apps.
Android (Chrome)
- Open bandmanager.cloud in Chrome and log in.
- Tick "Keep me signed in on this device for 30 days" before you log in, so the icon opens straight into the diary from now on.
- Tap the ⋮ menu (three dots) in the top-right corner.
- Tap "Add to Home screen" (on some phones this reads "Install app").
- Confirm the name and tap "Add" (or "Install").
Chrome may also show an "Install" banner or icon in the address bar on its own — that does the same thing and is fine to use instead.
Using it like an app
Tap the icon and Band Manager opens full screen, with no address bar and no need to search for a bookmark. Behind the scenes it's still the same site, so any update we make appears automatically — there's nothing to download or update by hand.
Staying signed in safely
Ticking "Keep me signed in" is optional, and worth doing on your own phone but not on a shared or borrowed device. It's designed the same way your bank or email app handles this:
- Your password is never stored on the device — only a secure, single-use login token is, and it's replaced with a new one every time it's used.
- If your band has two-factor authentication switched on, you'll still be asked for your authenticator code the very first time — being remembered never skips that step.
- You can see every device you're signed in on, and sign any of them out remotely, from Profile → Signed-In Devices once you're logged in.
- Changing your password automatically signs every remembered device out, so a lost or stolen phone stops working the moment you do.
Lost your phone? Log in from another device, go to Profile → Signed-In Devices, and sign that device out — or just change your password, which signs everything out at once.
Troubleshooting
I don't see "Add to Home Screen."
On iPhone, make sure you're using Safari, not another browser. On Android, make sure
you're on the latest version of Chrome, and that you're on the site itself
(bandmanager.cloud) rather than a link preview inside another app.
It's asking me to log in again even though I ticked the box.
Some browsers clear site data if you haven't opened the app for a long time, or if
you've cleared your browsing data manually — just log in again and tick the box
once more.
